Dear Mr. Hooker, my sister sold etched casserole dishes at The Stocked Market this weekend for people to customize with their last name. I was dropping hints that I would like one for Christmas this year when I realized... "Hooker" might not look so nice on the side of one, would it? Oh, this last name. Dear radio station that plays Christmas music in November, yes, I am a fan. I am not ashamed to blast N'Sync's "Merry Christmas" song in my car 2 months early, and there's nothing wrong with 30 extra days of Christmas cheer. Play on. Dear Mom, you spent your whole weekend helping Allyson and I set up our booth, wrapping sold items, and going on coffee runs. It was nice to have a couple extra hands to get everything done, but my favorite part of having you there was spending so much time with you. You are appreciated and oh so loved. Dear Jake , things have been really stressful and chaotic this fall. You've encouraged me to slow down and take some time off, and I'm taking your advice. Thank you for always having my best at heart and for looking out for me. You are such a blessing.
Dear readers, I'm taking time off for the rest of 2013 to finish some big projects and enjoy the holidays with my family. I have some exciting things in store - new branding, professional photos of my latest work, and a move to Charlotte - and I want to devote time and effort into streamlining my business so that I can give you all the best. Per request of my sister and many others, I will continue to do Monday's Letters, but I'm holding off on taking custom orders until after the New Year. So if you don't hear from me in between Mondays, please know that there are some great things in store! Thank you all for your support and your encouragement along the way; this past year has been such a huge blessing. Happy Monday!
